Garlic and Herb Mussels


Croc's 19th Street Bistro's Executive Chef Matt Knack made Garlic and Herb Mussels.



Ingredients:

1 1/2 tbsp. Butter
12-14 Mussels
2 tsp. fresh thyme (chopped)
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 cup white wine
pinch of black pepper


Directions:

Take a Sautee pan, add 1 tbsp of butter. Turn on to Med. high heat, when the butter starts to melt add in 1 tsp minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add 12-14 Mussels, toss to coat with the butter and garlic. Cook for 2 mins, add 1 tsp of chopped fresh thyme, pinch of pepper and toss to coat. Add a 1 cup of white wine and let reduce by 1/4. Turn off the heat. Remove mussels, place into a bowl. Add a 1/2 tbsp of butter, melt and stir into the wine. Pour the wine sauce over the mussels, sprinkle fresh thyme and serve
