Apple Brown Betty


City Dock's Master Exec. Chef Robert Cillizza made the dessert Apple Brown Betty.



Ingredients:

5 CUPS PRECOOKED APPLES
½ CUP RAISINS
1 CUP SUGAR
2 TEASPOONS CINNAMON
11/2 CUPS COARSE BREAD CRUMBS
½ CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
¼ CUP BROWN SUGAR
½ CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS
2 TEASPOONS CINNAMON

Directions:

MIX THE APPLES, RAISINS, SUGAR A CINNAMON WELL AND PUT IN A GREASED BAKING DISH. TOSS THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND MOISTEN THEM WITH FOUR TABLESPOONS OF SLIGHTLY MELTED BUTTER. SPRINKLE ON TOP OF APPLES. BAKE AT 325 FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES OR UNTIL THE CRUMBS ARE BROWN, SERVE HOT WITH VANILLA ICE-CREAM
OR WHIPPED CREAM.
